The luncheon meeting, sponsored by the
Tiger Bay Club and the
Daytona Regional Chamber, begins at noon
with the Governor speaking at 12:30 p.m.
"The governor will discuss various
issues from the recent legislative
session which impact business," Chamber Chair Suzanne Forbes said in a
news release. "It will also be
enlightening to hear more about his plan
to create jobs and promote economic
development."
Tiger Bay President Karen Jans said the
governor's June visit "will give
Volusians the opportunity to hear
directly from Scott and ask the
intriguing questions."
The event is open to the public, but
costs $30 for nonmembers. Members of
either club pay $25. For reservations,

The Tiger Bay Club of
Volusia was founded in 1987 in the hope of encouraging a
better understanding of public issues. Our first
president was Edgar M. Dunn Jr. who served from
1987-1990. Our members come from all walks of life but
they all share a keen interest in public affairs and
politics. Our speakers have included senators,
congressmen, gubernatorial candidates, mayors,
columnists, and the "movers and shakers" of our
community.
